[vdr] mp3-install

Hi,

if i try to compile vdr 1.0.0 + latest aio-patch
with mp3-support i get the following error:

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lz

what's missing here? 
(i already installed libmad-0.14.2b-2 + libid3tag0-dev)

System: Debian woody / Kernel 2.4.16
