No, i tried exactly the path from above on my vdr-box (except i don't
mapped v: but g:). Works without problems from W2K->VDR.

Please don't do that, it will prevent me to use longer directory names.
Wich samba-version is used? I heard that there were some problems with
some older versions, or maybe there is something misconfigured in samba.
