I've now automated this process. At 06:00 CEST (German time) every day
the file

  ftp://ftp.cadsoft.de/pub/people/kls/vdr/epg.data.bz2

will be uploaded and will contain the EPG data of the channels defined in
the default 'channels.conf' file that comes with the VDR distribution
(actually these will be the channels I currently have in _my_ 'channels.conf',
but this is usually identical with the one delivered).

To avoid race conditions I suggest to download this file at least few minutes later.

Please understand that I need to reserve the right to discontinue this service
any time without prior notice.
