Hello,

discussion about user interfaces are as old as machines (not only as 
computers). For every kind of interface there is pro and also an contra. 
As developer you will never find the one and only solution for every 
user. If you have a look at kde, gnome, mozilla, winamp, freeamp, etc. 
you will find items like skins, themes and also configurable shortcuts. 
IHHO it does not make any sense to discus about the better shortcut or 
menu. I think it's better to find an implemantation for making functions 
configurable. If there is an configfile with default values everyone can 
use vdr in the same way like today. If someone has an "non standard 
remote control", he's able to edit the config file and adjust it to his 
RC or his preferences..
