I have the exact same problem, so i switched back to an old AIO-version.
My compile-options are:
make REMOTE=LIRC VCD=1 VFAT=1 DVD=1 MP3=1 MPLAYER=1 CB=1 PROGBAR=1
COLOR=1 FONT=SMALL STREAMING=1
