IMHO his because of the limited bandwidth for tranfering a/v data
in parallel to the OSD bitmaps.  Even a load balancing (with my
patched DVB driver) between a/v data and OSD bitmap input, which really
reduces disturbances and avoids lost pictures during heavily used OSD,
but can not avoid the `last' rest of disturbances.

... whereas I can says that the new firmware shows better results
aka less disturbances.
