You'll need to use the NEWSTRUCT driver (because the new firmware is only
in that branch) and patch dvb.c as recently described by Ralph Metzler.
If you use the "old" driver, make sure you copy the new firmware to it and
also patch dvb.c.

The reason why I'm using driver 2002-06-23 (with the new firmware and patch)
is that newer drivers don't recognize my third DVB card, and the NEWSTRUCT
driver turns audio and video blank every few seconds. At least that's what
I experienced when I tried the NEWSTRUCT driver - it may have changed in
the meantime.
