Hi Sven,

it is possible to shut down your System remote, for example via SSH. You could 
even automate this by using shell skripts/cron.
Another possibility would be to use a small Webserver and PHP or CGI or 
something like that. The problem is, that this solution would require to run 
the webserver as root, wich is quite bad regarding security...
