[vdr] looking for an epg tool

Hello,

I'm looking for an epg tool that will read the epg.data file, then allow
me to search for a string.  When that string is found, the tool should
show me all the matches, and prompt for creating a timer to support this
program.

Does such a timer application exist?

I do not get viruses because I do not use MS software.
If you use Outlook then please do not put my email address in your
address-book so that WHEN you get a virus it won't use my address in the
From field.
