[vdr] AW: Re: AW: av synchronization in live video
i deinstalled the metall cover of the tuner and mounted a normal heatsink 5
x 12 cm with heat conducting glue on it.
after drying you can put it on the tuner again. i removed the neighbour
slotplates. the air stream of the fan blows the heat out in the rear of my
vdr-case.
only one disadvantage: you lost the neighbour pci-slot, or you can only
mount a slim pci-networkcard under the heatsink.
other chips needs no cooling.

Hi,
I've been wanting to do this, but am wondering how to properly stick a
heatsink on it? With some kind of heat conducting glue? Some kind of
fastener
(how)? Drill a hole through the ARM and screw it? :P
Also, which parts in particular. The ARM I am sure, the tuner gets warm but
I
don't know if it itself influences the card operations, any other chips
which
need to be cooled?
Cheers,
Dennis
