[vdr] Status of DVD creation under linux?

Hello,

I am in the point of buying a DVD-writer (Sony DRU500A which is reviewed
under http://reviews.zdnet.co.uk/review/8/3/2135.html ).

What I would really enjoy, is the possibility to convert recording from
VDR (http://www.cadsoft.de/people/kls/vdr/download.htm) to a playable
DVD with very simple chapter...

Is that more or less possible right now?
