[vdr] console plugin error

Hi,
I tried to install Jan Riegers console plugin today with VDR 1.1.18 
Installation worked fine but:
when I open a new console window, it stays empty and  finnishes itself immediately. A little bit of debugging and I found out that the console plugin gets IO-Errors (EIO, errno=5) in the Action-routine of engine.c
That means, master and child had been created and bin/login was executes.

Any ideas?
