Hi Stefan,
Hehehe, I also got your patch working under the 1.1.17
Modprojekt. Turned out that Klaus changed the cFrame
behavior in ringbuffer.c. Took me a few hours of debugging
to find that out, tho ;o)) Now it works perfectly except for
a few minor quirks. Maybe you can help me out.
While in Live AC3 mode (tested on Pro-7) and navigating
around on the OSD, I get:
- a few messages about linux kernel buffer empty
- small audio "cut outs" while moving around in the OSD
1st question: does this also happen on the 1.1.22?
your beta patch didn't have the LiveAC3 installed, so I
didn't (couldn't) test it at the time.
I think I have an idea what was happening, so I enabled
Klaus's reserve buffer routine in transfer.c and the problems
are as good as gone. No more empty buffers and only if I
really hit the OSD hard (i.e. cycle through the menus
continiously), do I get get an occassional audio cut out.
I'm still having the problem of short white noise (as reported
on the beta test), when starting a DVD. Could you point me
to the code, where you do the 320ms mute?
Last question: MP3 no longer works ;o(( This is a virgin
mp3 0.7.9. You can start playing a mp3 (VDR does start
playing), but I can't hear anything. Of course, I also tried
to switch off LiveAC3 & DD/DTS in the DVB setup, but
it didn't help.
I didn't try MP3 during the beta testing, so I have no idea
if the plugin works on the 1.1.22. Maybe you have an idea
where I could look.
Otherwise: VERY happy ;o))
Greetz,
Reinhard
