[vdr] RE : Re: [PATCH] AC3overDVB 0.1.2

Hi,

I checked the spdif of the J2 connector. Well bad news, the signal is ok
(I made an optical spdif out) and my amplifier decode it but it decode
it as a DolbyPrologic signal. I checked and rechecked wit several DVDs
but my amplifier stay on DolbyPrologic, it never switched to
DolbyDigital nor DTS.

I think that you should test the bitstream out plugin.

I'll test it as soon as I can set it up.

If anyone as a tip to bypass this trouble using the DVB spdif out I'll
test it for you

Yes, it is specified in 2.1 Nexus datasheet "S/PDIF output to connect to

your amplifier".

So, I would say that all J2/home made cables owners need some circuitery
to
connect to their home cinema amplifier, while Nexus 2.1+ owners that
have
official S/PDIF out don't.

I'm directly checking this with Hauppauge support.

Olivier.
