Oh yes, it is as stupid as it can be. And I didn't know that it

Do you mean like US Closed Captions on line 21?
I really don't know. Are they teletext compatible?
In Sweden they don't encrypt the teletext stream, and I don't
do anything special to decrypt it. I haven't looked into that.
