I have similar problems. With the pre-1.0 drivers (no CI/CAM support in
driver) I could start decoding with some tricks (I have all-siemens
stuff + cryptoworks CAM). With the 1.0-pre driver and vdr-1.1.26 (with
or without the cam diff) when I start vdr it finds my CAM and starts
decoding fine except some random channels. I've checked freq, apid, vpid
and sid and it's really random. It starts decoding a channel while other
from the same freq doesn't. All channels from UPC Direct. After a while
ARM crashes while vdr reports CAM read problems:

Put the card into a different PCI slot!
In most of the BIOSes IRQ is assigned to a specific PCI slot.
