Yes, this output is kind of stupid; this means that there is
only one teletext page number given in the Service Information
for this channel, and that is for the Initial Page, page 100.
The plugin looks for subtitle pages to display, they could
(should) be listed there too.
In the normal text?
Yes, it is an ordinary text page, it just isn't announced
anywhere else than in the DVB SI tables. They actually send
them on the analog transmissions too (but you have to manually
enter it there of course).

I only found a hint in the "curent running" program line like
"UT Seite 150" or so (don't rely on that string).
...
VT subtitles are displayed on one "fixed" page (150)
to be selected manually.

If page 150 is in stream, then there are -currently- subtitles available.

There is only one language version: "cleaned" german (bad words are often
not shown).

The german subtitles are mainly intended for hear disabled.
We have such pages too, in addition to the DVB-SI announce
page. As yours they are on pages that are supposed to be
activated manually. This is an old service, it has been there
since long before the DVB service.

The DVB Service Information tables can carry teletext page
numbers tagged with one of five different tags with the
teletext stream information:
Initial Page, Subtitle Page, Additional Info Page (?),
Programme Schedule Page and Subtitle Hearing Impaired Page.
In addition, each page has a language identifier.

My plugin looks for page numbers of the types Subtitle Page
and Subtitle Hearing Impaired Page and ignores the other
types.

Interrestingly, SVT have separate Hearing Impaired pages
for the DVB channels that do not always contain all the
information that the old style hearing impaired page for
manual use has. Maybe they haven't started using this yet
(my STB decoder can't be set to use the hearing impaired page,
it can only be set to show a specific language and it will
only show the non-HI page).

Maybe one should add an option for manual entering of page
number for showing "manual" hearing impaired pages too.
If anyone wants that feature soon, let me know (or hack it
yourself :-)! I haven't prioritized hearing impaired support,
but since it was easy to add the automatic kind, I did.

The netherlands have very good subtitles.
Typed in real time!
Yes, they use real time on some of the news broadcasts here,
they have some special typing machines. Fun to watch, those
guys are good!

Maybe there are two kind of subtitles?
Apart from teletext based subtitles there are also subtitles
sent as bitmaps, I think akin to DVD style subtitles. I haven't
looked into that (I don't have access to any).
