[vdr] Continuity Errors in TS stream
Hallo,
when recording with vdr-1.1.25 and a WinTV Nova card on a SuSE8.1 computer
(P-III 1GHz), I have a very high number of picture and sound errors, even
missing sequences of parts of a second. - after the recording is finished, I
get a message like the following in my /var/log/messages file. - This stems
from a recording which went on for ca. 40 minutes.
Mar 31 10:30:00 linux vdr[18262]: recording thread ended (pid=18262)
Mar 31 10:30:00 linux vdr[18263]: receiver thread ended on device 2
(pid=18263)
Mar 31 10:30:00 linux vdr[18180]: cTS2PES got 0 TS errors, 4090 TS continuity
errors
Mar 31 10:30:00 linux vdr[18180]: cTS2PES got 0 TS errors, 3197 TS continuity
errors
Mar 31 10:30:00 linux vdr[18180]: buffer stats: 154348 (2%) used
Mar 31 10:30:00 linux vdr[18180]: timer 1 stop
Can somebody tell me, how these are caused? Is this a problem with my
sattelite dish, or is it something in my computer? - Can this result from an
IRQ conflict?
Best,
Andreas
