[vdr] Re: Technisat Skystar 1 (data only)

doc_buz@web.de(Matthias Schießl) 04.04.03 20:01

Once upon a time Matthias Schießl shaped the electrons to say...

>Hello!

>I have an old Technisat Skystar 1

Isn't that a DVB-S 1.6 or so?

>which was delivered by my old isp (strato)
>It seems that it can be used in vdr as full featured card

Is that chip on Skystar 1 or on an other card you have?

Is the footstamp (solder pads) of the missing chip really the same?

On the Version 2.1 here is a single Hyundai HY57V161610D TC-8
which is "2 Banks x 512K x 16Bit Synchronous DRAM"
and a single Micron Technologie MT4LC1M16E5-5 which seems to
be a 1M x 16bit EDO 3,3V which seems to be exchangeable with
HYB5118165, TMS418169, TC5118165, K4E151612, MSM51V18165, UPD4218165,
M5M418165, HY5116164, HM5118165, GM71C16163...

Pay attention to the location of Pin 1 !
It's the two chips are here in opposite orientation.

Segor, berlin is known to have special Chips (and special prices..)
in low quantaties.

What kind of tuner is used?
Maybe it special for the Strato requirements?

The 2.1 do have only 2MByte EDO-RAM too.
The (on your card missing?) sync RAM i would assume
is for Video-Muxing.
