Hi Oliver,

I did as you suggested and you're right that this is the point where
something hangs.

The function is recursively examining the contents of the (linked)
filesystem. Some time ago I put a backup-directory in it (because I
needed some place where to put it and forgot about it) with around
200000 small files. And this is the point where the watchdog-timer
expires.

This should be in the documentation:

Do not put anything in the videoX hierachy which does not belong to vdr.
