I havee a suggestion for you two: read the README, it is described there how
to compile mp1e (and you must NOT install it into /usr/local or ANYWHERE
anyway). In that README, it is also described what you have to do to watch
without picture errors.
Sorry this sounds a little mad right now, but I'm sure the developers don't
write the README's for fun!
