I can. I don't know exactly when it started, but i also think it was 
>1.1.29.
My config:

Driver from CVS 2003-05-25 (hw_sections=0)
VDR 1.1.33 with mega-patch + prefer-plugin
RedHat9 with vanilla 2.4.20 Kernel
Nexus 2.1
