No, I don't think so. Actually vdr doesn't know which file handle the dxr3 is 
using for audio (we don't give any handle to vdr).
I wonder what ioctl calls are repeated thousand of times during replay 
(perhaps this has something to do with the implementation of the non
blocking file reader ... well, I really don't know ... needs further
investigation).
