Hi,

vdr 1.2.1 / mplayer 0.9 final /0.8 mp3-plugin works without problems on my 1.2 Duron. Are you using the latest mplayer.sh from Juri? (http://batleth.sapienti-sat.org/projects/VDR/). If not, this might help.
