First of all, have you tried playing the file with just plain mplayer
without the vdr/mplayer-plugin? If it doesn't work that way, it doesn't
have anything to do with vdr or the mplayer plugin, only mplayer itself.

If it doesn't work even without vdr/mplayer-plugin, you should probably
make sure you are using the latest release or even try the latest version
straight from cvs. If it still doesn't work, then you should probably
email some mplayer list.
