[vdr] Re: unknwon picture type / error in data stream

Hi,

I'm having this problem too, and it's hard to reproduce.
I tried many DVB driver versions since some weeks (month?) and can confirm
that the problem exists since some VDR release near v1.1.29 and the DVB
driver from that date. The tests were made with unpatched Root and only
Elchi/AC3 patches. I will check in the next days which VDR release
"introduced" that...
Sometimes it records ok for some days after updating the drivers and then a
recording fails with the next recording after driver update. So it's quite
time consuming to find out that recordings are corrupted.
BTW: I once had this problem on my primary card! LiveTV was impossible then.
I guess, that it has to do something with channel switching and/or switching
between transfer mode and live mode (don't know right name).

Maybe we should check if it only happens on some hardware combination?
So I start with mine:
Primary: DVB-s rev1.3 / Secondary: DVB-s rev2.2

Regards,
Andreas
