Hi,
no, first I load the modules, then I start vdr, wait 5 seconds, kill vdr and
load vdr again. This gave me always a picture. I will try the dvbtune trick
later.
I have a pretty old Nova-S, so I think it is pretty well supported.
I still have some problems with my setup and I want to ask the dxr3-using
folks here, if they can confirm the problems. Sometimes I get
small drop outs when watching a live stream in vdr. The picture hangs for
a fraction of a second and the sound also drops. It happens approx once a
minute. I have tried almost everything, from changing the pci latency by
"setpci" to changing priority of vdr. Now I am trying to run vdr on the new
2.6.0-test1 kernel, hoping that something changed to the better. I have no
satellite dish here, but finally all modules load and vdr can start.
Especially the lirc_serial module was a pain in the ass, but I hope it works
now. If someone is interested, I can post a small 2.6.0-test1 howto.
bye,
Stefan
