[vdr] Re: Streaming over 802.11b

Is there a way to get streaming to work over the 11Mbit (or less) WLAN

i've got around 530kbyte/s speed over wlan but that is not sufficient
:(...
friends for example seemed to have a bitrate of 540kbyte/s (1gb/37/60 )
did anyone already experiment with this ?
is it possible to strip some data from the stream in a fast way ?
or perhaps a way to convince cygwin mplayer to fill its cache when its
empty... (stuttering is very annoying but, a few pauses would be ok).
I tried vdr-streamdev http mode with a 802.11b network (11Mb =~
550kbytes/s) It worked
on some channels when the picture is not full sreen large (like movies).
Maybe it will work on all channels if vdrsream-dev could do UDP stream.
The other solution is to use the old vdr-stream ffserver mode to re-encode
the mpeg with a lower bitrate.
