Probably i get something wrong - you can't have fullscreen without switching 
modeline without Xv - you could however have black borders around the overlay 
- i do not see any use in that, because you can:

1.have windowed-mode as overlay
2.window-with-Xv
3.fullscreen with overlay (768x576 modeline)
4.fullscreen with Xv (7658x576)
5.fullscreen with Xv (desktop-resolution, here you probably need to hide 
kicker as it is in front of kvdr otherwise)

What combination did i forget?
