can anyone recommend a good ATX/MATX (or any other form factor) to build
a VDR out of? Ideally I would like
- quiet
- Looks like it belongs in the living room
- InfraRed. I would like a case with built in IR port on the front panel.
I found the Accent HTPC case (www.quietpc.com) which is ideal. But at
£165 for the case, plus £50 PSU, plus £30 for IR, results in the best
part of £300 for a case - which i reckon is a bit steep.
Anyone got any other thoughts?
www.shuttle.com

I'd prefer the casetronic ones... ( www.casetronic.com )
In Germany you might get one from www.mini-itx.de

They arre not as colorful, look more like typical stuff ;-)
about 159 Euros -
"quiet" depends on your needs - really quiet goes only without harddisk and a fanless cpu...
There are two Good Things about the Shuttle.
- they use heatpipe to cool the CPU
- some models have 2 PCI slots
