[vdr] Re: xine plugin 0.0.2

i couldn't realy understand all, but your messages like

_strongly_ indicate that you use a wrong channels.conf and or
diesq.conf which does not fit the vdr format or the other
config files regarding reception (diseq.conf sources.conf).
so how to you recive?

vdr must set its primary device to 2 since vdr's primary device
is not the main reception device, but the only device with osd user
interaction, thus having no hardware osd (no dxr3 or dvb-fullfeatured)
vdr must use the xine plugin as primary device.

and the error message i refered to will ocour if you
have a running vdr with working reception and loaded xine plugin,
regadless of xine-lib or xine-ui, they are needed if you have it
working that far.
the error comes from the FIFO file device0.vdr and indicated that
no process is reading th data from the fifo, the patched xine will
do that.

does it use device2 as primary ?

I tried all of them.
By default it is set to 2. But then I get the error messages:
Channel not available!

If I set it to 1, then I don't get this message, but still no
picture.


does it throw errors from transfer.c when
only vdr (no xine) is running?

Where can I see those messages?
Should I turn on the debugging? Where?

Ov, today I installed the vdr-1.2.5, but the problems remains.
I also upgraded the DVB driver trough the CVS, but nothing.
Should I use the DVB driver, or dvb-kernel?
I use the DVB.
