[vdr] Re: PVR 250 Plugin Request/Help needed

Hi,

Mplayer says the following when doing mplayer /dev/video1:

Playing /dev/video1
MPEG-PS file format detected.

I set the PVR card to MPEG2-TS. I will later this day do a cat
/dev/video1 > video.mpg and will analyse that file, if it is an TS or PS
type.

What i dont understand is the PIDs. I dont know which PIDs the PVR have.
Maybe i really dont know much enough for this stuff. Maybe Andreas can
look at this.

Greetings,

Can you confirm that if you do 'mplayer /dev/video1' that you see /
something/ ? Since it should be a TS, mplayer should at least tell you
that,
and either select the first APID and VPID it sees, or you'll get a
garbled
mess of blips and crackles...

Xine might be a better candidate for playing a TS...

Or even try doing 'tspids /dev/video1' (you'll need the Metzler's
'dvb-mpegtools' installed) which should hopefully produce something like

'0 80 160 8191'

Cheers,
Gavin.
