It sounds like a DMA problem

Hdparm -d2 -u1 /dev/dvd (or where your dvd is connected)

I have added another 128 MB to a total of 256 MB to the system an still
there are distorsions.
I even connected a different DVD-drive- no changes.
But I noticed that the distorsions don't appear within 3-5 seconds, but
nearly every second while the DVD-drive reads from DVD.
Distorsions appear every time the DVD-drive's green LED flashes!
What's the problem here?
