Why is this?

The menu-text within Moulin Rouge's DVD title menu is not displayed at
first.
It appears after you leave and re-enter the title menu!

Is this a caching issue within DVD-plugin?

Furthermore I have audio and video skips/distorsions every 3-5 seconds
while playback of *any* DVD.
Is this related to my slow CPU (Celeron 660) or too low amount of RAM
(128 MB)?
Or are there some other things to check?
