with pre6 (decoding on player side),
i figured out the follwing stc-pts delays using mp2:

- - ard: -30ms..-15ms
- - zdf: - 5ms..+ 5ms

..

replay of dvd or recording: -600ms..-200ms ;-)

and guess what ? dvd and recording playback is in sync.

the reference time stc is taken when the packet is delivered to us,
so no delays should exist then.

the "earlier" diff, the negativ value, of about -300ms sounds like
nearly in sync,
or the stc value is just crap at all ;-)

therefore the pre6 variant does not take any action,
no usleep and no skip ..

and it is almost useable.
