As mentioned before, I had even with 1.1.29 not more UPT than with 
1.0.3. So it seems unlikely, that it has to do with anything changed in 
those versions.

No. I have two full featured and one budget card.

I have it most times, when a second recording starts, because it seems 
to be connected with one card, and that card is used second. But even 
then it's better, to loose some seconds of the first recording than to 
loose a complete recording. I never had a selfhealing UPT, so a restart 
is necessary anyway. I use the restart-patch, Klaus published here.
