[vdr] Re: Suggestions for tv output?

Hi Dylan,

Using any TV-encoder chip will decrease the quality of video output as it
makes one Digital to Analog conversion too much and not many cards have even
proper RGB output on it, which is analog signal. RGB it self is far better
then CVBS or Composite video.

Before I by a DVI capable videocard i will try to set my G200 video output
to such, which is acceptable as PAL signal and convert the monitor output
sync-signals to acceptable on TV/beamer, by combiling them (Simple circuit).

The best quality is get by using digital signal from end-to-end, where
beamer creates the analog video (light ;) ).

Marko Myllymäki.
