From DVB driver changelog:

| which uses dummy PIDs 0x000e/0x000f (reserved by iso13818-1)
| instead of 0x1fff/0x1ffe to avoid sync problems during playback
| when tuned to transponders where 0x1ffe is a valid PCR PID (Astra

The old firmware (ab)used pid 8190 = 0x1ffe. This worked fine as long as
this pid was not used on any transponder. ;-)
