[vdr] Re: Problem with xmltv2vdr SVDRP connections
I use xmtv2vdr 1.0.5 and vdr 1.2.6.
But I had the same error with the previous versions too. It has NEVER
worked. Always the same error :(

Michal

Hi,
which version of xmltv2vdr and vdr do you use,
afaik there where some glitches with certain combinations.
for me xmtv2vdr 1.0.5 and vdr 1.2.6 work(ed) like a charm.

p.s.
work(ed) because my xmltv2vdr does not work anymore, it refuses to
generate event data (E line in svdrp format) for this year's events.
but since i generate the input xml file via a selfmade script i dunot
know
if it is my fault, and xxp also offers teletext and they repeat too
much anyways.

I've been having this problem for ages but let it go for various
reasons. Whenever I try to use this script to send the data to vdr on
localhost I get the same error,
Jan 10 12:44:01 htpc vdr[16412]: connect from 127.0.0.1, port 32848 -
accepted
Jan 10 12:44:11 htpc vdr[16412]: lost connection to SVDRP client
Jan 10 12:44:11 htpc vdr[16412]: ERROR (svdrp.c,354): Broken pipe
Jan 10 12:44:11 htpc vdr[16412]: closing SVDRP connection
I've never been able to upload all the data and it doesn't always
stop at the same point. It seems to vary. I have my SVDRP timeout set
to 3000 so that shouldn't be it. Anyone have any ideas? Looking at
line 354 in svdrp.c didn't really enlighten me any.

Michal
