I can not add a decoder even if a52dec lib is GPL ... the Dolby Labs Inc.
do have patents and rights on that stuff. This would be a big problem
for SuSE and now also for Novell. Beside this I've payed personally
my license fee by buying a A/V amplifier. Therefore, why not using it
and the much better audio components of the Pioneer amplifier.

A DTS decoder software is new for me. And AFAIK the DTS Inc. had
never opened their standards to ATCS nor to us, the OpenSource community.
If there is a DTS decoder software then this have changed :^)

AFAIK the current a52dec lib should be able to use ALSA and if your
sound card is supported with multi channel output it should works
simply with `-a' option. AFAIK there is also a plugin around doing
the same stuff from Marcel Wiesweg.

IMHO the DTS thing could be currently illegal whereas the second part
may provide some problems for any kind of (re)distribution even if
non-commercial and only by an URL linke as the OpenBSD people had be
told by the Dolby Labs Inc.
