Hello
I discovered that same stations have movies that are not in DVD - format
but rather SVCD (480x576). If I replex these records and create a DVD
with dvdauthor they play on my Pioneer DVD-Player without any problem.
I get the full resolution on my TV. So somehow these movies get
rescaled correctly (like SVCDs).
If i use mpegenc and encode to 480x576 and multiplex the file with
mplex -f8 -v0 I get with my Pioneer only the smaller width.
(Other DVD-Players display 720). I think, the behaviour of the Pioneer
is correct. But how can I get full TV-resolution even on the Pioneer
(as I get indeed with recordings from say Kabel1)?
There must be a trick - but I don't find this trick.
regards
Wolfgang
