[vdr] OSD-corruption: bug in driver or vdr?
Have observed a very annoying bug with vdr:
(running 1.2.6+Elchi+all plugins+dvb-kernel at Gentoo-2.6.x)
i have an script running that calls svdrpsend.pl to display MESG with the
sender whenever a mail arrives...
If the MESG comes at a bad moment it somehow interrupts the currently running
plugin (so far observed with timeline and tvonscreen) and displays the MESG
at the partially deleted OSD of the running plugin.
That happens not to often, but once a few days the race condition hits...
In this case i just observed, that the OSD-memory in the driver gets corrupted
by other (apparently fast changing data, might be the mpeg-data) - i get
changing colored noise at parts of the OSD afterwards which does not heal
anymore.
If images are required to find a hint to the failure i have some screenshots.
Is this definitely a driver problem? Then this might be better in the
linux-dvb ml...
