I checked further more my SuSE 9.1 installation. LC_LANG is set to
de_DE.UTF-8, but this was not the real problem. After changing this value
did not solve the problem I found out that my /video partition (still vfat)
was mounted with iocharset=utf8 by default and not with iocharset=iso8859-1
as it was with SuSE 9.0. Now, recording and playing files with umlauts in
directory names works again, EPG info etc. is also okay. So currently, I
don´t see any problems anymore with VDR 1.3.10 on SuSE 9.1.
