Actually this is the region I am currently at, in a second 0.3.2 branch based 
on 0.3.1, which should be the next release (together with the ports I 
mentioned in my last mail).

If I'm not mistaken, you sent me that patch several months ago. Due to some 
issues with my mailing archive I can't find that mail now. I think it should 
also be reviewed by Klaus, to see if it can be applied to the VDR core.

Well, the final 0.3.2 will contain some features like UDP transmission in 
VDR-to-VDR mode, and a reworked multipid streaming that uses the resources 
more efficiently, as well as a device selection that resembles VDR's 
procedure more closely.

I believe there has been some work in that area, which has inspired me to 
several modifications mentioned above :-).
