I also found that error, when scanning for channels on my FF (Hauppauge 
WinTV Nexus-S) with the "scan" utility from the dvb-apps package. It 
happened with kernel 2.6.8.1 and the dvb-kernel that came with that 
sources, as well as with 2.6.9 and the actual dvb-kernel from CVS.
