[PATCH] Priority of transfer-mode should not be -1

Hi! The transfer-mode uses always priority -1. That presents a problem: If I connect to that vdr using streamdev, it switches the first budget device off from the multiplex transfered to the FF card, although there is a second identical budget device available. Also, if I had DVB-S FF and only one DVB-T budget and had a DVB-T recording with priority 10 and Primary Limit at 20, live DVB-T video would (wouldn't it?) be severed. Klaus, shouldn't transfer-mode be also using the Primary Limit value, so that recordings with priority less than Primary Limit couldn't distract the output of primary device? VDR constantly tries to change transponder frequency

Hi! VDR constantly changes the frequency of one multiplex in DVB-T. Here's an example: Correct: Urheilukanava;Suomen Urheilutelevisio Oy:770000000:C23D23M64B8T8G8Y0:T:27500:417+130:673=fin:929:0:113:8438:12289:0 But then VDR decides to change it: Dec 29 18:32:48 delta vdr[18069]: changing transponder data of channel 22 from T:770000000:0:3:0:2:2:2:1 to T:674000000:0:3:0:2:2:2:1 And then of course the channels stop being watchable. I took a dvbsnoop on PID 16 to grab the NIT tables (or whatever they're called). The two SECT-packets which are looped in the PID 16 are both in: http://anssi.hopto.org/dvbsnoop-MUX3-pid16 BTW, I put a debug output entry in nit.c line 173 to grab the frequency returned by getFrequency(), and I get these kind of results: FREQUENCY, 562000000 FREQUENCY, 658000000 FREQUENCY, 674000000 However the correct frequencies of the muxes are 490000, 578000, and 770000. However I've no idea why mux3 is the only one of which frequency VDR tries to change. -- Anssi Hannula

Problem with LiveBuffer and vdr-xine

Is there a way to wait until having data ready when starting xine? (vdr-xine is not in mode LiveTV with LiveBuffer). The replay is a slide show without sound. If pause and resume xine the problem is gone. Its only trouble when starting xine. Changing the channel solves the problem with Frameswait(LiveBuffer )= 8. With Frameswait(LiveBuffer) = 0 when changing the chanel, or starting xine the replay is a slide show without sound. Jose Alberto

calling MainMenuAction() from an other plugin

Hello I want to show an special message on the screen. (with image, buttons,...) My idear was to write an second Plugin which have a MainMenuAction which shows the message on the OSD. The param will be set by a service which was called before I call cPlugin *Plugin = cPluginManager::GetPlugin("myShowMessage"); if (Plugin) Plugin->MainMenuAction(); The problem is that I need to call this code from an background thread, so the called plugin can't handle the osd. Default language not taken into account for replay

Hello, I have vdr-1.3.43 and when I replay a recording, the default language is not taken into account. So if I set the default language to French and view Arte, I hear the French audio track, as expected. When I record it and replay the recording, I hear the German audio track. info.vdr is (for example): C S19.2E-1-1101-28109 T Zapping International S Das Fernsehen in Tatarstan D Sage mir, was du schaust, und ich sage dir, wer du bist: ARTE zappt sich durch die Fernsehlandschaften anderer Lä nder. Feature Request: send keys first to skins, while display

For change the aktion of keys please send the key while display a osd-object first to the skin. While display to Channelinfo, the skin can change the funktion of the keys to display to epg-info or quick programming a timer ... ********************************************************************************************************************************************************************* Falls meine Übersetzung oben zu schwer zu lesen ist: Gewünscht wird eine Funktion, daß die Tastaturereignisse, wenn ein OSD-Objekt (z.B. DisplayChannel) dargestellt wird, zuerst an das entsprechende Skin-Objekt zur Auswertung gesendet wird. Damit soll z.B. erreicht werden, daß die Sendungsinformationen bei DisplayChannel mit der grünen (aktuell) und gelben (nächste Sendung) einfach aufzurufen sind. Durch die blaue Taste ist ein Umschalten zur nächsten Sendung einfach möglich. Diese Funktionen sind im großen Gesamt-Patch des 1.2.6 enthalten und ich möchte sie nicht wieder hergeben. Hardy

Prefermenu russian translation

Hi, I have added russian translation for prefermenu plugin. It is very good plugin, but in my opinion it has one lack: casual pressing can lead to erroneous removal or moving of channels. My small daughter sometimes does it :) . It will be more convenient if to add function of editing prefermenu in plugin setup, and on hot button to leave only a mode of switching of channels. VDR functionality request / query

I have been wondering if Green and Yellow buttons skip functionality could be configured but not been able to find anything related to it. I happen to have a HD videorecorder which has this skip functionality also but the backward skip is only 7 seconds while forward skip is 30 seconds. This is very handy when skipping adwerticements because the backward skip most often gets you where the program starts again. \\Kartsa No virus found in this outgoing message. Patch to use Skip keys (Next + Previous)

Hallo Since a long time I wondered when the very common skip keys are available in VDR. I believe these keys are available but unused on most remote controls. The attached patch adds to new keys kNext and kPrevious to keys.h and keys.c. The patch modifies vdr.c and menu.c to switch channel up/down whith the new keys. I also modified the mp3 and dvd plugins to use the new keys. I can provide patches therefor if the patch will be intergrated in VDR. As logical mp3 jumps between tracks. When playing a DVD Next and Previous have the same meaning like 4 and 6 and jump between DVD chapters. That is the common behaviour of stand-alone DVD players. Very smart when replaying music DVDs because the different songs are DVD chapters. I can also imagine to use Prev/Next to navigate between cutting marks in a recording. (not yet implemented) If you find the new keys useful please contact the list to convince Klaus to integrate the patch. Network patch for xine-lib

Hi all, Does anyone have updated instructions for patching vdr-xine (>=.7.7) for network use? It would be nice if we could post them someplace more visible and in English. I'd be happy to clean up the instructions if someone can give me the details. I've already read: http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.linux.vdr/24833 but looking in : http://mitglied.lycos.de/peterweber69/xine/ there are a few more patches which I think might be needed i.e. "vdr-xine-lib-addr-from-mrl.diff" but I'm not sure. I do have vdr-xine 0.7.8/xine-ui working and talking to VDR, so I'm ready for the next step. Also, Reinhard, I know you probably get asked this alot, but when might we expect the network patches to be integrated with vdr-xine? Finally, thanks to *ALL* who have made any of this possible. I still marvel at it all. Thank you. CR.
