Announce zaphistory-0.9.1 and eggtimer-0.9.1

Hallo, two new plugin-versions. For the eggtimer plugin: - completed finish translation (thanks to Rolf Ahrenberg) http://turku.wi-bw.tfh-wildau.de/~pjuszack/digicam/download/vdr-eggtimer-0.… For the zaphistory plugin: - added spanish translation (thanks to Luis Palacios) - fixed compile problems with older VDR versions. Works at least with VDR >= 1.3.37 http://turku.wi-bw.tfh-wildau.de/~pjuszack/digicam/download/vdr-zaphistory-… I would be interested in translation-patches for other languages, too. Since I do not know if this mail will bring some people to provide patches for different languages which then produce conflicts I would ask you to contact me before making an changes. [PATCH] epgsearch: g++-4.1 fixups etc.

Patches attached. * The g++-4.1 fixes are required to avoid "extra qualification 'foo::' on member 'bar'" errors. * 10 characters for the channel name isn't enough ("BBC Radio "). * Use of thread-unsafe function. * The constness fixes patch, as well as making a few things constant, gets rid of multiple declarations of AllowedChars. -- | Darren Salt | linux or ds at | nr. MSI Mega Sky 580 (dvb-t) USB and VDR

Has anyone tried MSI Mega Sky 580 USB with VDR? Or does it even work with linux? I know that Twinhans Magicbox is supported. This would be a cheap and small to be used with laptops. (http://www.twinhan.com/product_terrestrial_7.asp) Ofcourse laptop is not the best choice for a living room PVR but it most propably be quiet :) \\Kartsa No virus found in this outgoing message. Re-tuning

Hi, Problem: Sometimes when VDR starts I don't get a picture to the TV. Tuning fails and I get this to /var/log/messages: [2315] frontend 0 timed out while tuning to channel 3, tp 658 I do get a picture when switching channels back and forth but that's no good when I'm not watching TV. My recordings fail because of this. When I searched the web, I found this: http://www.linuxtv.org/pipermail/vdr/2005-December/006511.html and this: http://www.linuxtv.org/pipermail/vdr/2005-December/006589.html In the first link when tuning fails VDR retunes right away. Second link says that re-tuning has been removed for setups other than diseqc. I have a DVB-T card and it used to work fine before with previous VDR versions. I've had the black screen problem with vdr-1.3.42 & .44 If the problem really is that retuning has been removed, please bring it back. Problem with graphlcd-0.1.3

Hi, vdr sometimes crashes when stopping playback of recordings. Stopping mplayer-playbacks also sometimes crashes vdr. I finally managed to get a coredump (vdr does not do that when running as non-root??): #0 0x09825a20 in ?? () #1 0xb6080d64 in cGraphLCDState::GetReplayState (this=0x9314e30) at player.h:75 #2 0xb6076393 in cGraphLCDDisplay::Action (this=0xb6088460) at display.c:359 #3 0x08106950 in cThread::StartThread (Thread=0xb6088460) at thread.c:243 #4 0xb7f75e60 in start_thread () from /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libpthread.so.0 #5 0xb7df28ce in clone () from /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6 These crashes disappeared when I disabled graphlcd. Vdr mplayer and softdevice - mplayer video quits after a few seconds

Hi Everyone, I hope you can help me. I am trying to get vdr 1.3.41 to work with the mplayer 0.9.14 plugin correctly. I have vdr working with directfb 0.9.22 output via a matrox G550 card using softdevice 0.2.1 plugin. When I start playing back a file using mplayer plugin I have the file playback video for a few seconds and then quit. Does anyone know what causes this? If not, any good tips on debugging this?
