huge .TS files

Question in case somebody can help or at least explain. Yesterday on a standard satellite channel (TVEi) I recorded about 2 hours and found 10 files x 2 gigs each recordings, thats about 20 gigs. I know that on a dreambox the same 2 hours of recording takes no more than 5 gigs and the files are also .TS So the question... why such a huge difference in size? Hi, I have try the patch and now no have error : unknown frame duration (1800), assuming 25 fps But the problem with Video Data Broken stay. Question about VDR changes for a high-color osd.

There's been recent talk in #xine-vdpau about expanding VDR to allow for a high color osd. Does anyone happen to know any bad implications of changing tIndex from uint8_t to a uint16_t for allowing access to more of a color palette?

Hi, With the new version of VDR (1.7.4 or 1.7.5), iptv 0.2.6 and xine 0.9.0 I can view H264 stream for my French DSL box (Livebox). /tmp/VDRBOOT_COMPLETE

In the startup scripts I've been using for some time, it does a check for /tmp/VDRBOOT_COMPLETE to confirm vdr started correctly. It doesn't seem to have a problem if the file is not found, but somewhere along the line vdr stoped creating this file on startup. What is the current way to check if vdr correctly started?
