I don't know if anyone else still uses the xmltv2vdr.pl perl script for piping XMLTV data into VDR's epg, but I've been keeping a version of it updated with some additional function here: https://github.com/oldmanuk/xmltv2vdr These are the changes since the last version (1.0.9) was released on the mailing list - Add support for XMLTV episode-num. VDR & Multiple frontends

Hi, I wrote a patch to Steve Toth hvr3000 repository, so my FlyDVB Trio can use multiple frontend. cSoftDevice::StillPicture() not updating video in VDR 2.0

After upgrading to VDR 2.0, I got Softdevice to almost work (see the mail archive a couple of months ago). Sometimes it is showing garbage (really random noise) on the MGA350 OSD layer; I can live with that, as this box is only used for infrequent recordings. The last annoying problem is that going to the next or previous I-frame when editing (buttons 4 and 6 on the remote control) are not updating the video screen at all. Only the edit mark is moving on the OSD layer. If I press Play, … [View More]it will start playing from the current edit mark. So, it is possible but much more clumsy to cut recordings. Webvideo and vdr 2.x segfaults

Hi, Is anyone using succesfully the Webvideo-plugin with vdr 2.x (eg. 2.1.6)? I just get vdr to crash with a segfault when i pick any of the video-sources (Google, Metacafe, Youtube etc) :-( I am using the latest git-source from git://projects.vdr-developer.org/vdr-plugin-webvideo.git René

Invalid sat cable number errors

Hello, I see errors like the below on every VDR (2.0.6) startup and apparently exactly 30 minute intervals after that in syslog: ERROR: invalid sat cable number in '[apparent binary junk]' The binary junk varies, today it's been for example '<C0><C0>ۙ>^?' and '<C0>0<BE><A4><8F>^?' as shown by "less". Any ideas what would be causing this or if I could do something to help debug this further?

EIT related crash with 2.0.6

Hello, I'm seeing an EIT related crash of VDR 2.0.6 every now and then, no idea if there's a way to trigger it on demand somehow nor do I know when exactly it happens; I just sometimes find a core file for it. gdb backtrace attached, my VDR is quite a patched one (the one from Fedora) but the line numbers appear to make sense for vanilla 2.0.6 too.

Hi Klaus, What about adding a possibility to skip ±5 or ±10 seconds when replaying a recording? Would you perhaps accept a patch for the developer version? That would be nice. -- Peter

Hi, Here a little feature request: Problem: the children are watching a recording, and at the end VDR switches to normal live TV, that can be anything. I have to be there at the right moment to turn off the screen and the sound, in order to bring them to leave the tv-room. I would be nice, if VDR could turn off the sound at the end of a replay and show a still image (e.g. "Children, go to bed now!"). What do you think about that? -- Peter

Hi, I just released epgsync-1.0.1 on http://vdr.schmirler.de. I've added a new option to schedule a resync every X hours and you may now use the SVDRP command "PLUG epgsync SYNC" to trigger a resync (this has always been possible by sending the SVDRP command to open the mainmenu, however that was undocumented and probably not obvious).
