Why are you making such a secret about your patent?
Probably because there is a time period in patents in which they can be easily rejected/removed/dispatented called "opposition period". I time period is 9 months, and during that time it is very easi to say to the patent office "that isn't patentable feature, or that feature has been published earlier if it is really published before date in patent application" etc.
For futher reading: http://www.european-patent-office.org/legal/guiapp1/e/index.htm
Here is about the opposition period: http://www.european-patent-office.org/legal/guiapp1/e/ga_d_v.htm
--- Grounds for opposition
178 Opposition may only be filed on the grounds that: · the patent's subject-matter is not patentable within the terms of Articles 52-57 · the patent does not disclose the invention clearly and completely enough for it to be carried out by a skilled person · the patent's subject-matter extends beyond the content of the application as filed.

Hmm, then I guess we should make further efforts to find out what this is about. I tried a search at http://www.european-patent-office.org, but the number 105-6ld0606.HG-j.187 didn't match any of their patterns...
Since he's making such a secret of this chances are it's something that could be easily rejected ;-)

It seems to me that you are wasting your valuable time trying to help this guy, while he is not even cooperative. My gut feeling is that he would never return the favour to say the least.

I'm already beyond trying to "help" him ;-)
Now I'm just concerned about that patent and want to make sure VDR doesn't suffer from it one day...

Yes, this could be the REAL problem in this discussion.
Please tell us in case you might need any help. Maybe we should start/continue a discussion at VDRPortal to find the right strategy solving this problem...
With kind regards

Well, the first thing we need is the actual patent text. So if anybody has any idea how this can be aquired, please speak up.
